Back

Eidelweiss was just as beautiful as we remembered it. We had a wonderful time during the retreat. We learned a few new things and were able to watch one of our favorite movies (Fireproof). We were also able to hangout with our food friends and our ‘niece.’ We met them last year on the retreat and became fast friends. Since then, we’ve also fallen in love with their adorable daughter. We all took a walk around Garmisch. It was so beautiful to see the alps as we walked around the town. We stopped at a little cafĂ© and had eisskaffee (Iced Coffee). Then, at the end of the walk we had some wonderful german ice cream. Everything here just tastes so fresh. It was wonderful! We swam, ate a ton of food, and just enjoyed they lovely weather and company. The only problem was our dog sitter was scared of our friend’s dog. As a result, they were a bit ignored until our neighbors noticed we weren’t home. Luckily, the took care of the dogs until we returned. Maybe one day our dogs will be well-behaved enough to travel with us… until then we’ll just have to find a better sitter.

Terrel’s shoulder is healing nicely. He has more therapy this week and two more weeks of convalescence leave. We’re going to try and plan a few quick trips around germany while we both have the time off. We’re also excited about my college friend Alli’s arrival this month and our vacation in August (location TBD).
That’s all for now. Check the link for the newest pictures.
