Ummm… Attempting New Dishes

So Last night we went out to dinner with a teacher friend and her two daughters. We had a blast and found a new German restaurant we like. All the teachers talk about it and it’s a much better and cheaper meal than on post. I love german food, particularly the soups. During my travels with Nathan I picked up an Austrian cookbook. A lot of Austrian and German dishes are the same. So now, I’ve challenged myself to try and make a few of the soups. If they turn out well I might even attempt one of the roasts or strudels. Who knows, maybe by the time we leave I’ll be able to cook and speak german. Learning to cook is a lot easier than learning to speak!
