RIP BMW

Today our car got rid of us. Terrel had the day off for classes we are taking. We had a few extra hours before the classes began so we decided we would go look at a car. We filled up on post and were about to head out of town when the car just stopped. We sat in shock for a moment because it happened so suddenly. Then, we tried to decide what to do. In the middle of Germany we couldn’t just call AAA. Luckily, our neighbor called us to see if we wanted to have lunch. He was able to pick us up and help us get the car off the road. When we got back to the house he and his wife rearranged their schedules so we could borrow their car. They also called ADAC, the German version of AAA (plus some). Terrel and I are already looking into an account for ourselves. They towed the car to a nearby station and we are waiting for the damage.

Class ended early tonight and we were able to go look at cars. It’s a nice little place, owned and operated by a sweet German man. He’s retired from the army. He worked as a mechanic for almost thirty years. He sells cars like crazy. You would never find this lot unless you were looking for it, but four separate people came to buy, look, or pick-up a car while we were there. We found two great cars but we’re trying to figure out how we can afford both.
